Zarick Adar is an Arkanian-Miraluka male hybrid born on the planet Arkania and raised on Onderon. He is a citizen of the People's Galactic Alliance and assists the Republic against well-known threats across the galaxy. He was once a Knight of the Potentium Followers on Zonama Sekot and lived on the planet for two years before he left and sought Onderon again.

Appearance
Zarick stands at six feet and one inch. He is muscular due to years of exercise. His black hair is kept fairly short with white streaks over the top. His complexion is dark, taking on his mother's appearance, with little facial hair around his jaw. Although Zarick takes on features from both his Arkanian father and his Miraluka mother, he looks no different than an average human, except for his eyes.

His style of clothing varies; robes or armor that resemble Jedi attire, civilian clothing, jumpsuits, and so on. As a citizen of the P.G.A. and a militant, he always sports the Marine armor.

Personality
Zarick is a serene individual who keeps to himself but does not lack social grace. He is a good listener and speaks little during conversation but knows what to say at the right moments. His usual hobbies are crafting tools, exercising, reading, and writing. He has a petty prejudice towards Mandalorians and bounty hunters; Mandalorians destroyed his Jedi mother during early childhood. Regardless of what they did in the past, he is still quick to criticize Mandalorians on numerous reasons. In situations, particularly dangerous ones, he keeps composed and tries to deal with something as best he can with enlightenment and understanding on his mind. "The notes of logic shall play the song of truth," he once said amongst a group of Jedi Masters, assisting them with a convoluted murder investigation on Ruusan.

"Well, he's quite a helpful young man, although he seems a bit strange." - Jedi Master referring to Zarick

Abilities & Equipment
In combat, Zarick assumes a dark mood. Normally composed, his battle techniques are wild. He called once called this style the "7th Savage Form", a name derived from a band of seven rogue Force-sensitives who developed styles of melee combat and survival methods. Zarick became the 7th member to join and learn these ways, hence the name of his fighting style.

Zajah Adetera is a Near-Human raised on Onderon. He is a knight and a pilot of the Potentium Fighter Squadron on Zonama Sekot and a former serviceman of the Imperial Navy. He trained within the Potentium Order and adopted their philosophy, extensively carrying out assignments to defend the planet from outside and inside peril.
Zarick is also well-balanced with the Force.

Onderon
  +
Environmental instabilities on Arkania caused most of its inhabitants to leave the planet behind. Zajah's parents, Ghomjah and Haiye Adetera, settled on Iziz, Onderon as a decent environment to raise their child, despite a few societal inconveniences. While growing up on Onderon, he became acquainted with common violence and the law, an example of which was when he and a group of delinquents formed a gang they called the "Savage Stars." Before the group's formation, they and many others were regularly terrorized by criminal activity. As a group, the youths punished criminals, clad in black uniforms shrouding their appearances. Their charismatic founder was a human named Daniel Morosun, who led them on these escapades.

  +
Zajah and the gang eventually roused the authorities. The Onderonian Royal Guard tried to identify who the members were, though the gang eluded them well, only operating at night. However, the gang was compromised during a special operation outside the guard tower against the crooked Royal Guard Commander. The gang spent their days at the detention grounds. Free on release of good behavior, the public regarded them as thugs, and in reaction, Zajah opted to better himself. With his sights set, he traveled with his father to many systems and became accustomed to unique environments and cultures. On Kashykkk in particular, they braved the deadly territories of wild beasts while collecting raw components which they later conducted beneficial experiments.

Story
+
Mother
  +
As time progressed, Zajah educated himself plentifully and even discovered his latent abilities in the Force through his mother. She offered to train him, which he refused, indifferent toward Jedi matters. However, his mother was the only Jedi who intrigued him; not only was she an assertive negotiator, she was also a gentle soul who had a penchant for botany and exotic flowers. On one fateful night, Haiye was summoned by the Council to accept a dangerous mission, aided by a team of Knights, against Sith starfighters hovering over the planet. Haiye proved to be a keen pilot against tactical star fighters due to her strong perception.

  +
Zajah received word of the orbital threat looming above the planet and anxiously rushed off to support his mother. The Sith starfighters proved a minor threat to Haiye and her strike force. However, the Sith were assisted by Mandalorian mercenaries, cloaked and packing ion weaponry. Their ion cannons disabled Haiye and her strike force, leaving them helpless and bombarded with blaster fire, destroying them in a fiery blaze. Arriving to witness his mother's demise, Zajah angrily open-fired, later accompanied by his father. They helped the Jedi overcome the orbital threat over Yavin IV, but not without great loss.
An unstable environment affected many families on Arkania and forced some to leave it behind. Zarick's parents Ghomjah and Haiye Adar, left the planet in search of a comfortable home to raise their child. They came across Onderon. While living on Onderon, the young Near-Human became well-acquainted with the common aspects of life: law, violence, death, and despair. To escape these aspects, Zarick and his local delinquent friends formed a gang they called the "Bomb Star Clan." As a group, the children fought against criminals and lawbreakers in the city as a means of escaping mediocrity. The Bomb Star Clan even adopted a code to keep its members organized. The virtuous gang went on "missions" that led them into trouble, especially with the authorities. The Onderonian Guard depised the gang's brutal methods of stopping lawbreakers, so they made efforts to stop the gang for good. Zarick and his gang were arrested and sent to a jail for minors by the Onderonian authorities for juvenile actions against criminals. He and his friends spent two years at the detention grounds where they would learn from their decisions. When he was released for good behavior, Zarick started to notice his reputation as a thug from the public, so he tried to change for the better and even encouraged his friends to do the same. They vowed to pursue knowledge and put their time to good use with school and the development of the mind, body, and spirit. Zarick and his Arkanian father, Ghomjah Senbuo Adar, ventured across the galaxy to many planets, gaining familiarity with different environments and cultures. Kashykkk became a spot of interest; it was a training routine where Zarick and his father spent their time hunting beasts or collecting raw components, which they later conducted experiments with for the benefit of health, profit, and other beneficial uses. Tatooine was another zone of interest in terms of survival training, due to its intense surroundings. At times, the father and son encountered peril. Zarick and his father embarked on journeys, ones in which they engaged in combat, established friendships, and made uncommon discoveries. Together, the duo faced daring situations that strengthened them physically and psychologically.

Imperial Undertaking
As time moved on, Zarick became more versatile during years of adventurous undergoing and even discovered his Force-sensitivity. His mother had once asked him if he was interested in training as a Padawan in the Order on Yavin IV. The child declined her offer because of his apathy toward the Jedi doctrine, even though he possessed Jedi knowledge. Later, Haiye Adar was summoned by the K.O.J. Council to accept a dangerous mission, with a team of Knights, against Sith starfighters hovering over the planet. Ghomjah secretly followed to monitor her safety. Haiye proved to be a keen Jedi pilot against tactical starfighters; her Miraluka perception in the Force ensured her team's survival. Young Zarick received word of his mother's mission from an anonymous source and traveled in one of his father's ships to track her down. The Sith starfighters were only a minor threat to Haiye and her strike force. However, the Sith were assisted by Mandalorian mercenaries, cloaked, who packed heavy weaponry. They easily gunned down Haiye's team, herself included. A repetitive barrage of blaster fire sent Haiye and her strike force trailing into the darkness of space. After witnessing this, Zarick released his rage and fired on every enemy vessel in sight. The ship he stole from his father had a powerful offense. Five out of the nine mercenary starfighters were destroyed as the other four fled. Zarick completed his mother's mission and stopped the orbital threat over Yavin IV.

A few months passed after the incident on Yavin IV. Zajah's father received a job as security for the monarchy on Bakura and was rarely around to travel with him anymore. It left him alone for a while, but his urges for adventure kept him searching for something new. On a hot summer afternoon, Zajah walked around town and came across an Imperial Navy placard on the side of a market building. The poster portrayed the valiance of Imperial troops and a motto interpreting justice that the Empire promised to offer. Although aware of the Empire's notoriety, he wasn't discouraged from joining. He went to the nearest recruitment center and was screened, then attended the Imperial Naval Academy and furthered his education through the Imperial Naval College where he tackled the basics of combat, naval operations, and drilling.

  +
A few years of basic training served him well within the Imperial Military. He proved to be an exceptional pilot, which the stern Admiral Adrian Ganton occasionally applauded him for. Admiral Ganton was a battle-hardened workaholic who lead his squadron on deadly operations against pirates lingering near Imperial-protected worlds, and overtime, the pirates doubled in number. Zajah and the fleet were bombarded by Black Sun Pirates on one fateful operation. He was fortunate enough to survive among explosions and rains of blaster fire. As the battle continued, Zajah drifted while attempting to repair his TIE Oppressor's engine before the pirates could locate him. Repairs were a minor success, and he drifted away in regard of his own life to Yavin IV. Before the locals could find his crashed ship, a strange wanderer recognized his Stormtrooper armor, slowly approaching him.

Twilight drew near. Wary of the tall figure approaching him, Zajah raised his blaster. In response, the man drew his lightsaber, prompting Zajah to rethink his actions; a scuffle with a Force-user wouldn't end very well... The mysterious dark-haired man sensed doubt growing in Zajah, questioning whether he was completely devout to the Empire. They conversed on the Empire's reputation, its predominant origin, and its goal of bringing Sith rule to the galaxy. He asked whether the Stormtrooper wanted to remain a pawn in a large, terrible game. With a willful expression and a new perspective, Zajah discarded his Stormtrooper armor and credentials.

  +
The two talked awhile and seemed unusually calm despite their odd encounter, and a plan was in order. Zajah followed the man to his ship, setting a course into the Unknown Regions. They touched down on a mysterious planet, but it seemed not one person was in sight. The stranger brought Zajah to the medical faciity where he was tended to by the kindhearted Amaran healer Nina. The rescuer claimed they were knights of the Potentium Order. He then escorted Zajah to a spot atop a large hill where other residents sat in discussion. There, he met Master Flint Mokeev, Magister Salene Lusch, and Potentium Knight Toad Freck for the first time.
A few years passed after the incident. Zarick grew into a strong teen and carried on his father's role as a hunter and scientist for a short time, traveling solo. At other times, he tried to pursue a career to his liking, but his deep-seated thoughts kept him from doing so. One day, he walked around town on Onderon and came across an Imperial Navy placard attached to the side of a market building. The poster portrayed the valiance of Imperial troops and a motto interpreting justice that the Empire promised to offer. Zarick was very oblivious of the Empire's notoriety because of his lack of interest in galactic politics and happenings. Even so, he submitted an application to the nearest recruitment center in his neighborhood. He was age fifteen, still, his healthy appearance qualified him to be a soldier. He was admitted to Troop Squadron and endured basic training for three grueling months. Not every recruit survived basic training, but Zarick persevered.

The Imperial military instituted high-risk tasks to all of its subordinates and high-ranking officers. Everyday occurred in the follow order: One: Wake up for breakfast and roll call. Two: Simulated combat/exercise. Three: Aggressive negotiations. Four: Meet back at base for roll call and supper. Five: Sleep. The only highlight of combat for Zarick was aerial confrontation. The battles became more intense each time the soldiers fought. One by one, Zarick and his division were bombarded. He was shot down and was believed to be destroyed by the Sith pirates. Explosions and blaster fire lit up the dark void of outer space. As the battle continued, Zarick and his vessel were violently tossed through space where he drifted for two days with only a limited supply of rations and light. He worked on repairing his TIE Oppressor's engine during those days. Once the repairs were made, he drifted to Yavin IV, the closest planet nearby to look for help. The residents on Yavin watched the TIE Fighter dock by the river.

The local authorities approached Zarick's vessel as he jumped out of the cockpit. They recognized the Imperial armor he wore and the authorities escorted him to a detention centern. He was then released after explaining his situation to the Jedi. The TIE Fighter was investigated by a search team and heard a transmission from the TIE Fighter. The message came from his fleet admiral, saying that he discovered his survival and he was to be disbanded from the Imperial Navy for his alleged "association" with Jedi. Nothing else seemed to matter but freedom. Now left on Yavin IV, he was offered a place to stay amongst the Jedi. One day, Zarick decided to visit the old temple where his mother's Order resided across the river. Instead, six rogue Force-users occupied the old, ruined temple as their territory. They originally intended to mug the young Near-Human and dump his body in the river, but they failed to do so when Zarick fought back. The gang's leader had something special in mind; the gang's middle-aged boss was more spiritually keen than his associates and did not believe his encounter with Zarick was a coincidence. In time, this band of rogue Force-users befriended him and gave him a nickname after initiating him into their group. They called him "Dusk" because of his blue Jedi tunic and dark complexion. Each of them referred to one another with a special nickname. The leader was a tall, clever Human male called "Neeso," age thirty-four. He helped Zarick establish a connection to the Force when evidence of the boy's Force-sensitivity arose at their first encounter. They gave Zarick time to master the rudiments of the Force and set up the "Seven Trials of Courage" for him to put such skills to the test. All together, these rogues of the Force embarked and fought intense battles with the Sith who invaded the place every now and then. About a year later, many rogue Jedi were killed in action, including Neeso's group. He and Zarick evaded the deadly Sith Lords and set traps for them. They found themselves on the run with the Sith following them. The two survivors used their wits and defeated the Sith with elaborate traps and explosives. A masked Sith Master stood as the last threat to them. Two rogue Jedi against one Sith Master of the Force made no difference. At the outcome of the three-way duel, Neeso was caught off-guard, impaled from a quick thrust of the lightsaber, and was thrown over a precipice.

Life on Zonama Sekot was an opportunity for Zajah to continue his training and unlock his potential in the Force. Toad Freck chose him as an apprentice and taught him the disciplines of the Potentium Code. He faced a timeless series of trials as an apprentice, one of his most cherished experiences. After Toad's demise at the hands of the Sith, a large Rutian Twi'lek known as Gram took him on as an apprentice, teaching him dynamic swordsmanship and strength conditioning. Za eventually reached knighthood thanks to his receptive peers and self-determination. He left Zonama some time after and sought Onderon after receiving a transmission from his father, and the two agreed to meet near their old home. He encountered his younger brother Gourah on the way there, and all three were soon reunited.
Zarick watched in shock, completely outmatched, until his shock quickly turned to rage. He raised his electric blade and charged foolishly at the Sith Master, blinded by anger. The strength and speed of the first three strikes caught the Sith Master off balance and the last strikes cut off the Sith Master's left leg and arm. Zarick approached the injured Sith Master to finish her off, but in retaliation, she fired a wave of Force-Lightning and sent him over a precipice while controlling the electric current through his body. Zarick fell into the depths of the Yavin forest. In a stroke of luck, a large tree stopped his long descent. After four minutes, he slipped out of the tree and landed unconscious to the ground.

Conflicts
  +
Zajah encountered many entities frequently as a Potentium Knight. Alongside Potentium Master Nina and Master Hanumi, they pursued Sith and an elusive group known simply as "Chaos". Due to Han's status and ample power in the Force, Han was abducted by Chaos and taken for experimentation, prompting Za and Nina to desperately pursue them. Their course took them across the Outer Rim to Nar Kreeta. They took on a group of the cybernetic-enhanced beings of Chaos, utilizing all that they learned to free Han from his captivity. They managed to rescue him after a laborious struggle and brought him back to Sekot. However, Han was badly injured, Za leaving Han in Nina's proficient care and resuming his training.

Five hours passed since Zarick lied unconcious, burned and broken, under the trees until a mysterious stranger discovered him. The stranger gazed in awe at how beat up the young man was. Auspiciously enough for a stranger to come along and help someone he knows nothing about, he took Zarick aboard a ship and set course into the Unknown Regions of space. The ship touched down on a mysterious planet. No one was around, even from the view of the landing pad to the buildings nearby. The stranger left for a short while and came back with a metal tray with which he placed Zarick in and rushed him to a medical facility. Even the medical center was empty. Nevertheless, the stranger examined the injured youth's injuries and popped the dislocated leg and wrist bones back into place until it was okay to place him in a healing tank. Two hours passed by while submerged in the Bacta tank and Zarick recuperated from the burns. The mysterious rescuer drained the tank, helped him out, and claimed to be a Knight of the Potentium Order on the living planet Zonama Sekot, which means "world of body and mind" in the Ferroan language. The Potentium Knight was revealed as Christopher Beck. Beck escorted Zarick to a meditation spot atop a large hill and approached other residents there. They introduced themselves, and Zarick introduced himself with the nickname “Dusk”, not wanting to reveal his real name for simplistic reasons. He met Master Flint Mokeev, Magister Salene Lusch, and Potentium Knight Toad Freck for the first time.

Yuuzhan Vong War
Life on the lush planet Zonama Sekot, though temporary, was an opportunity for Zarick to continue his training and gain knowledge about the mysterious Force. Toad Freck selected Zarick as an apprentice and taught him disciplines about the Potentium Code. Freck placed Zarick on a strict training regimen and put forth many aspects for him to learn. A year later, the apprentice was tested by the Council and became a Knight. After receiving the title, he left the planet of Zonama and sought his childhood home on Onderon. It was afterward that the Knight was contacted by his father, Ghomjah Adar, who discovered his son's whereabouts from a reliable source. The two agreed to meet at the postern of a large government building. While Zarick made his way to the building, he encountered his younger brother, Gourah Adar. Gourah was gladdened to see his long lost sibling and accompanied him to where their father waited. The three reunited.

  +
The fearsome Yuuzhan Vong made swift progress over the course of two years gaining control of their once claimed territory. Zajah and his fellow knights vowed to defend the planet at all costs. However, because of the proficiency of the Yuuzhan Vong's organic constructs, major operations against them proved the most trying of tasks. Armed with the knowledge of his past services, Za took up risky operations to thwart the Yuuzhan Vong. Ultimately, he and his fellow knights, along with the council masters and the living will of Sekot, put a halt to the Yuuzhan Vong and their violent overthrow of the planet. In a measure to protect its inhabitants, Zonama Sekot used its hyperdrives to migrate to an isolated location within the Unknown Regions.

Brave New Galaxy
  +
After the unnerving waves of violence and destruction subsided between the Yuuzhan Vong and Zonama, Zajah was heavily disenchanted. He bid his beloved comrades goodbye and left Zonama Sekot, given special navigational coordinates from close friend and knight Cobalt. On Onderon, he got by as a vehicular technician, rekindling worn-out repulsorlift vehicles until they were almost mistaken for brand new and selling them for reasonable prices. Great opportunity sprang when he met with his grandfather and learned of his roaring success as a miner on Adascopolis, Arkania. He and his grandfather regularly linked up on Adascopolis to conduct excavations. The minerals they uncovered in the tunnels ranged from carvanium to pure diamond, which were common findings but of course maintained their commercial values.

  +
During one extraction under the eastern Adascopolis tunnels, one of the excavators began experiencing failure; the droid overheated as it drilled through layer upon layer of thick crust, and once it reached its final limit, it exploded and set off a dangerous reaction with the nitrogen gas lingering within the tunnels. The blast killed several miners within range. He and his grandfather were saved and treated by a mysterious Togruta known as Xak afterward. Zajah did not set foot on Adascopolis again.

  +
He then received news of his father's death after recovering and visiting his childhood home on Onderon; his ship was inexplicably gunned down by outlaws in the Outer Rim and sent crashing to a nearby planet. He was grief-stricken, but eventually recovered after finding and reuniting with Gram on Onderon. Together, they eventually formed a small team of familiar and new faces. They commandeered a freighter passed down to the Twi'lek, traversing the galaxy in search of greater opportunity and new adventure.

Before Zarick became a disciple of the Force and a member of the P.G.A., he was an ace pilot. Piloting has offered him countless experiences through his exploration of space and aerial combat. He was also a member of the Imperial Navy stationed on Bastion, where he gained such piloting ability. As a Potentium Knight, Zarick experienced his full share of adventure when he was assigned several missions alongside powerful allies such as Ashram Starkiller, Cobalt Ra'ann, Ford Potez, Han the Amaran, Nina the Amaran healer, 501st Clone Officer Marcel Dowding, 333rd Clone Lieutenant "Green" (Bakura Senator Jendon Horten), and others.

Zajah is usually coolheaded and tranquil. Though a man of few words, he stands by his principles without dissuasion and usually takes a practical approach to problems, letting logic play the melody of truth. Opposing his tranquil nature is his cold bias toward Mandalorians, claiming most were "brutes hiding in shells." The Sith and Yuuzhan Vong also became an object of his malice during the conflicts on Zonama.

Zarick made few enemies in his past, even one his own family. He had a cousin named Allen Stonesoul, who called himself Darth Twilight. He was a young mastermind of the Crimson Blade Sith, an inexclusive organization of Dark-Jedi who had inexplicably broken all ties with the Empire in the olden days. The Crimson Blade acted however they pleased, whether being malevolent or neutral in affairs. Zarick and Twilight have only dueled twice to the death. Other foes have become dangerous toward Zarick and his allies, as well as numerous organizations across the galaxy that includes the notorious Empire and the Sith. As many are already aware, most Sith organizations have not ceased in their ancient conquest of converting the masses to their ideology.

  +
Zajah is a Near-Human of average height and an athletic physique due to years of training. His hair is black and his skin tone is dark. The most unusual trait are his eyes, which seemingly allow him to see into the infrared spectrum due to his Arkanian ancestry. His wardrobe includes a variety of clothing while his usual outfit is a blue short-sleeved garment, a utility belt, dark pants, and a pair of black boots.
The People's Galactic Alliance Saga
The Revenant Armada, who serve Admiral Takaki, made quick progress in their efforts of galactic control, oppressing cities throughout the planetary systems. The People's Galactic Alliance Forces, also abbreviated as the P.G.A.F., vowed to defend all peoples in the face of adversity. The Revenant Armada were sworn enemies of the P.G.A. and an additional threat to the galaxy, advocating war. Bloodshed was common between the P.G.A.F. and the Revenant, but Revenant troops continued returning to battle even after heavy casualties. However, the P.G.A.F. Marines have demonstrated unremitting determination against all struggles that blocked their path. They received promising new volunteers eager to fight for the Republic. One of these hopefuls was Zarick Adar. Zarick learned of the P.G.A. while accompanying his father Ghomjah Adar, a former Royal Guard Commander of the Bakuran Monarchy. While on a visit to Bakura, a violent skirmish between several Revenant troops and five P.G.A.F. Marine visitors erupted on the street. Zarick and Ghomjah took part in the battle alongside the P.G.A.F. The two fought bravely, but the Marines performed a valiant offensive against said Revenant troops who were attempting to infiltrate the Royal Palace. During the fighting, Zarick felt inspiration as he saw the Marines' valor overcome the Revenant. This new inspiration gave Zarick a new perspective: to become a Marine of the P.G.A.F. and to help restore any bit of peace to the galaxy. He renounced his position from the Potentium Order after making his decision. Then, he returned to his home on Onderon to rest for a fortnight and set out to Coruscant to enlist into the P.G.A.F. Within time, he was interviewed by P.G.A.F. Recruiter Gene Vaniva and underwent basic training.

Zajah can repair droids and standard vehicles at an efficient level based on his studies at Iziz Technical Academy. He is a seasoned combatant due to Imperial training and utilized life-saving survival methods in the cruelest of trials, especially during bouts as an Imperial Pilot. Time as a Potentium follower strengthened his extrasensory perception and further developed his lightsaber skills until it became an almost aesthetic display. However, due to his recession to a normal life and lack of meditation, his connection to the Force has suffered a drop.

History

Onderon

Mother

Imperial Undertaking

The Potentium

Conflicts

Yuuzhan Vong War

Return

Brave New Galaxy

Personality and traits

Zajah is usually coolheaded and tranquil. Though a man of few words, he stands by his principles without dissuasion and usually takes a practical approach to problems, letting logic play the melody of truth. Opposing his tranquil nature is his cold bias toward Mandalorians, claiming most were "brutes hiding in shells." The Sith and Yuuzhan Vong also became an object of his malice during the conflicts on Zonama.

Powers and abilities

Zajah can repair droids and standard vehicles at an efficient level based on his studies at Iziz Technical Academy. He is a seasoned combatant due to Imperial training and utilized life-saving survival methods in the cruelest of trials, especially during bouts as an Imperial Pilot. Time as a Potentium follower strengthened his extrasensory perception and further developed his lightsaber skills until it became an almost aesthetic display. However, due to his recession to a normal life and lack of meditation, his connection to the Force has suffered a drop. Although he preferred Makashi as his primary form, he developed his own style while training under experienced masters such as Toad Freck, Gram Aeon, Susallia Arida, Hanumi Takakura, and Master Nina. Zajah also spoke and wrote decently in other languages such as Arkanian and Huttese.
