History Edit

Raze Temple

One of the several forms of Raze, with a Sith Lightsaber, in the Jedi Temple, 3 Days before the death of Master Brody; 221 ABY.

Raze was the gatekeeper of King Adas’s holocron. It was the original Sith holocron, made by King Adas himself around 27,000 BBY. Adas was a warlord of the Sith species who lived circa 28,000 BBY, long before the exiled Dark Jedi of the Hundred Year Darkness conquered his species. He used his knowledge of the dark side of the Force to conquer and subjugate his homeworld, which he ruled as king. Around 4,010 BBY, his Sith holocron was uncovered by Queen Amanoa of Onderon, who learned all the stored secrets. The holocron was then passed to her apprentice Novar to teach Sith initiates. The Gatekeeper of Adas's holocron, however, had a unique personality that it could turn down the user's request or even physically threaten its user.

It is thought to be that after many years the artificial intelligence contained within certain holocrons forms a bond with the force essence of its creator.

The Jedi hid Adas's holocron on the planet Kodai. It was later taken to the Jedi Temple by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker in 29 BBY along with Adas’s crypt.

Jedi Master Victor Brody stands before the gates of the tomb which sealed in King Adas' holocron.

King Adas's holocron eventually found its way into House Pelagia's holocron library and subsequently liberated by Sir Nevil Tritum of the Mecrosa Order during the Great Jedi Purge. Following the Battle of Endor the order gave the holocron to Lumiya.

After Luke Skywalker killed Lumiya he brought the holocron back to Coruscant and hit it and a crypt within the catacombs beneath the Jedi Temple, and sealed it off.

It is strongly advised that this area of the catacombs stays hidden. Master Skywalker sensed great power and danger in uniting the two artifacts, yet the force power housed within the Jedi Temple would be enough to keep those powers at bay. He knew that these two items in the wrong hands would surely bring about another Age of Darkness.

The emergence of evil Edit

Flying demon 01

This is the first recorded image of Raze, outside the window of the Jedi Council Chambers, Coruscant Temple 220 ABY.

Nearly 200 years after being hidden, King Adas' holocron was discovered again by the Jedi that now inhabited the temple during a conflict with Darth Malphas and his clone-apprentice, Starek. Jedi Master, Victor Brody was somehow drawn to the artifact, and spirit contained within was able to latch onto him and take up residence in his mind without him knowing. Over the course of several weeks, the spirit, Raze, which at this point was an amalgamation of both the AI of the holocron, and King Adas himself, was able to periodically take control of Master Brody's body, and used him as a vessel to begin his destruction of the Jedi Order.

He started out subtly, destroying data archives, statues, and various artifacts within the temple. Gradually he began misguiding padawans, and knights, and would trick them into harming each other, and carrying out his bidding in other ways, such as sabotaging starships.

It was only after some time, that Raze, in control of Master Brody's body, became drunk with power, and vengeance, and thus became careless, and acted in ways that were wholly uncharacteristic of the great Jedi Master.

It has been discovered that, once bonded, both the spirit, and the host, are able to share thoughts and memories transparently and completely with one another. This is how Raze knew how to behave, for the most part, like the Jedi Master.

Destroying a monster, killing a friend Edit

Members of NOJ and Praxeum try to save Master Brody after his encounter with Raze; 221 ABY; Coruscant

At first, the Jedi tried to sedate Victor Brody, and use various medical and Force Healing techniques to try to separate the two, but could not. They tried physical assaults, and various, nearly forbidden, force techniques to try and save their colleague. After several failed attempts, and numerous deaths of Jedi Knights and Masters attempting to disconnect the two veings, The Jedi Order was able to combine their powers and drive the evil entity from Master Brody, and destroy it. However, the use of this amount of extreme power ultimately killed the Jedi Master.

Sightings Edit

Although it has been confirmed that Raze has been destroyed, there have been numerous accounts over the past several years, which seem to be getting more frequent in nature. Although they cannot be proven, people have claimed to have seen Raze out of the corner of their eye, as well as hearing his tell-tale breathing.

These sightings have occurred on various worlds, and don't seem to have a pattern as to where they may happen next.
