Quora Nightshade is a female Nagai smuggler and pirate.
Biography
Early Life
Quora was the illegitimate daughter of a Semi-known pirate. She grew up with stories about her father and his deeds and wanted to follow in his footsteps. All she knew of him was what her mother told her. She eventually grew to idolize her father envisioning him to be a great man. Her mother even gave her a picture of him so she could know what he looked like. When she was only sixteen she joined a crew on a local smuggling ship. The Captain of that ship taught her all she needed to know from piloting to Deception. Eventually she became second in command and was given full run of the ship as well as a larger cut in profits.
Dreams Crushed
During her time smuggling she had heard stories of a man fitting her father's description. She tracked him down to a seedy bar on a backwater planet she was smuggling a shipment of Spice to. During her dealings she caught sight of her father. She started to approach him but stopped when she saw him pull a blaster and shoot one of the patrons. He took both the goods and the money and ran off out of the bar. While he fled they made eye contact making him stop. They kept looking at each other until the bar's security told him to stop. He then ducked out of the bar and ran off to wait out the security.
After a she had finished her dealings she headed out into the streets and looked for her father. She had been a smuggler long enough to know how they think and where they might hide. Eventually she caught his trail and followed him to an abandoned shelter on the edge of town. She entered the shelter and looked around. She spotted him counting his credits while sitting on the crate of goods he didn't sell. She cleared her throat and approached him making him jump and aiming his blaster at her. She raised her hands showing she wasn't armed and said "I'm your daughter and I have been looking for you all my life.". He started to lower his blaster and asked "What do you want?" She moved closer to him and looked down at the crate then back up at him before asking "Why did you do that? I thought you were an honorable man?" He quickly lifted his blaster again as he stood up. He then slowly opened the crate and motioned his head for her to look. She looked down at the contents of the crate and there was just a few jars of Engspice inside it. She then looked up at him and for the first time she felt disappointed in her father. She picked up one of the jars and asked "You were trying to rip someone off with this?" He then shot the jar making it exploded and cover her face making her inhale it. Her eyes grew glossy as she reached behind her and pulled out a vibroknife and thew it at him stabbing him in the heart. She then collapsed and fell unconscious.
When she woke up she was on the ship in the medbay. She was connected to a respirator and some strange mixture was forced into her lungs again and again. She took the respirator off and suddenly started to suffocate. The Captain rushed in and put it back on her and she could breath again. She looked around the medbay then up to her captain and asked. "What happened? Why can't I breath?" She was told that she she inhaled so much Engspice that her body was dependent on it to live. Her Captain then helped her put on a special portable respirator that would assist in her breathing and her unfortunate addiction.
As she walked around the ship the captain took her to the cargo hold. There she saw a man encased in carbonite. She looked at him for a little while then hung her head. Her captain asked who it was. She said "He was my father." Her captain placed her hand on Quora's shoulder and handed her, her vibroblade. She then told her that her father was a wanted man by many of the Underworld groups. They were on their way to a gathering to negotiate a price for his remains. Quora then smiled and took her knife then looked at her captain and said, "I hope we get enough to erase my memory of who I thought he was."
Addiction
Due to her Father's unfortunately causing her Addiction to Engspice she has to have a constant supply within reach at all times. Without it for after a few minutes she starts to go through withdrawls wracking her body with intense pain.
Gear and Weapons
Gear
Mask: A customized Respirator that mixes Engspice with a reusable Serum to give her a constant supply. She can refill her spice through a small port ontop of the respirator. Each dose measured to last at least three days. If the respirator is removed she will start to suffocate Due to her incurable but manageable addiction.
Clothing: Tight Leather and Spandex with the options to show as little or as much of her body as she desires.
Trenchcoat: On the outside it looks like a normal Black Leather Trenchcoat. The lining is riddled with hidden pockets for a large variety of items.
Weapons
Vibro Swords: Two three meter FUll tang long blades that can be attached hilt to hilt forming a double bladed staff.
Vibro Knifes: Two perfectly balanced blades Hidden behind her back for quick use. Can be used for close combat or as throwing weapons.
