Gram was a male Rutian Twi'lek Force User and a former council master of the Potentium Order on Zonama.

Biography

He was waiting on a flight deck on Yavin IV for his master to return. It was a bright sunny day. He was surrounded by green jungle and the impressive outline of the gas giant Yavin Prime loomed above his head in the sky. However, even this scenery could not win Tarton’unas' attention. “Why'd I end up here?” he asked himself. A lot happened in the past few years. It was three years ago, but it was almost like yesterday when he last talked with his sister. Tarton tried to persuade her not to go with them. They came the day before to the village. These strangers claimed to come from Coruscant, looking for talented dancers. They offered the village elders much money for their daughters.

Tarton and his sister belonged to a small Twi'lek clan that lived in a little mountain cave a few hundred miles away from Kala’din, one of the bigger cities on planet Ryloth. The people were poor. They often fought against the harsh environment of the desert-like planet. Therefore many Twi’leks preferred to send their children offworld to give them an easier life. Others thought that the strangers who act friendly and helpful towards the youngsters were nothing more than slave traders. Tarton definitely shared that opinion.

Such strangers came to his clan. The elders agreed to send some of the younger females with them. He remembered clearly how they took his little sister away. As the young Twi'lek tried to stop them, he was held back by the clan elders. In his anger, Tarton broke away from them and subconsciously pushed another Twi’lek sideways. He pursued the strangers to the hangar of the mountain cave. The strangers noticed that they where followed. A small ugly outlander turned around and sneered as he aimed his blaster at Tarton. The stranger pulled the trigger...

At the moment he shot, the young Twi’lek seemed to disappear for an instant. The movements of the small ugly stranger was predictable and strangely slow. Tarton dodged the shot without slowing down. He drew his knive while running and threw it into the attacker's face. The other strangers watched how their comrade heavily fell backwards. Some of them instantly began shooting at their pursuer. The others forced the Twi’lek females towards the entrance of their shuttle. He could see the scared face of his sister looking back at him. He fell completely into rage and his eyes sent pure waves of anger against the outlanders. Two of them were forcefully smashed against the wall behind them.

The remaining strangers retreated to their shuttle before Tarton could reach them. He helplessly watched them escape. A few days later, he reached Kala’din with a vessel he took from the hangar. He snuck aboard a transporter headed for a small outer rim planet. From there, he traveled to Coruscant to look for his sister. He knew he committed a crime in the eyes of his clan and that he couldn’t return to Ryloth anymore. He still couldn't find any trace of her after a few months on the inner core planet. He continued his search and became more disaffected as he had traveled from planet to planet. Tarton accepted many different jobs to get by. He obtained some useful abilities like stealing or manipulating when stranded on the smuggler moon Nar Shaddaa.

My Name is GRAM

There, he met him. That day, Tarton was trying to get some "customers" for a shady gambling house on Nar Shaddaa he worked for. He was very talented in manipulating others, especially weak-minded creatures. He approached a human with black hair and messy clothes. Trying to deceive him, Tarton raised his voice and tried to persuade the "customer" to follow him to the establishment. The human examined the blue Twi’lek, interested. He grinned as Tarton wondered why the human didn’t respond to his persuasion. The human looked Tarton in the eyes, saying, “What is your name?”

Tarton was ashamed to let any outlander know the name given to him by his parents and represents his clan now that he was an outlander himself. He sighted a floating commercial sign in front of him with the inscription, "GRAM coffee – The best coffee in the galaxy!" He answered defiantly, “My name is GRAM.” “That’s a strange name for a Twi’lek!” The human began to grin even more. “I think we'll get along very well! My name is Quam Asbrink.”

“Gram!” Tarton turned around. A man with black hair and messy clothes looked in his eyes. “Were you day-dreaming?” Tarton shook his head: “No, Master, I just remembered something in the past." The human answered, “You looked absent." Tarton looked up to the gas giant Yavin Prime in the sky. “Are you ready to leave for Zonama Sekot?” Tarton nodded slowly, “Yes, Master Quam!”

Life On Zonama

Arriving to the sentient wandering planet, Gram gradually took in the lush surroundings. There he met two charismatic masters of the Potentium Order, Master Flint and Master Salene, the magister of Sekot. The Twi'lek became well-adjusted to his new environment, eagerly and earnestly embracing the Potentium ways. He discovered his Force sensitivity while undergoing intense training and conditioning.

Much time and many trials passed before Gram was given the rank of Master. He attained a sense of duty and fulfillment. He even found romance with the fun-seeking Zeltron Susallia, and took on various apprentices who became his close friends. The young master was at the prime of his life, fighting battles against Zonama's invaders and squaring off with the contentious Purple Jedi and the Yuuzhan Vong.

Time yielded much stress for the blue Twi'lek and he thought of settling from the storms of conflict on Sekot. Gram felt he had done all he could for the Order, and with the skills his comrades imparted to him, he mysteriously left the wandering planet in search of a new simpler life. However, this couldn't be achieved without the strong motivation of finding his long lost sister. After reuniting with a former apprentice and close friend Zajah, Gram joined up with a small team in search of his sister while maintaining relatively normal living...Unfortunately, he was killed during a duel in which he and Za faced his long lost sister, known as Sith Master Pariah. She impaled him in the chest and left him for dead, but received significant damage from her opponents in return. Gram was later taken and buried on Yavin near his family. A small memorial was erected in honor of his bravery and sacrifice for those he held dear to him.
