What is a Diarchy? A Diarchy (or dyarchy), is a form of government in which two individuals, the diarchs, are the heads of state. In most diarchies, the diarchs hold their position for life and pass the responsibilities and power of the position to their children or family when they die. Corellian Monarchy's History.[]
About 40 years ago the Corellian Government de-stabilized, the people unhappy with the decisions made by a Planitary Govenor. Because of this a man arose. His name was Garrus Corvena, and demanded reform of the Corellian Government. When he did this the people flocked to him, he traveled the planet of Corellia as well as the outlying systems rallying the people to his cause. At the time he had little goal aside from... Change... It was when Corvena had gathered the support of almost the entire planets, even some of the people in the current government, when the Governor made his mistake... Governor Micha ordered the assassination of Corvena... Luckily the Assassination failed, and only outraged the people of Corellia and the outlying systems prompting a march of the Capitol building, with Corvena leading the march. Corvena captured the fool Governor and held him. Now that Corvena had achieved what he wanted, the Governor was arrested, the Capitol was stormed... He didn't know what to do... He went to the people, now surrounding the Capitol building, and he asked them. "People of Corellia... We have done it, the flawed Government is toppled, I ask you now, what should we do?" he asked, the people were quiet, utterly silent, before one man shouted... "King..." Corvena looked over in the direction of who said those words, before more and more people began chanting... "King... King... King..." and before long the entire crowd was cheering, chanting his name "King Corvena, King Corvena." He then rose his hands to silence the crowds a look of surprise had taken on his features, "If that is what you wish, so be it." he said, then turned, and disappeared into the capitol building, the people cheering behind him. Soon Garrus Corvena was crowned the first King of Corellia 70 years. At the age of 60 now, he lived out the rest of his life in the Corellian palace. Before his death he passed the crown to his son, Crowned Prince Septk Corvena. He as well lived out his life and term, gaining th nick name, "The Good king, But alas, he had never found a wife and had no heir, and due to his own health problems, he died at an early age, leaing the crown to his most trusted friend and adviser, a Bothan named Cain Soulstar... Soulstar was soon crowned king, and married his love Lita Dai'lin Castaignede, who was then named Lita Dai'lin Soulstar, and the government was transformed from an Absolute Monarchy to a Diarchy.
