Darth Nikkan De'eva was a Sith lord who created a holocron several decades after the fall of the Galactic Empire.

Description

Darth Nikkan De'eva was a human male Sith lord and the son of a Jedi Master who survived Order 66 by being in the wrong place at the right time to fake his own death.  Precisely how much Darth Nikkan learned from his father is unknown, nor is it known who the Darth was apprenticed to before becoming a Sith lord and after his father's death.

Darth Nikkan was either a self-styled Darth trying to carve out a holding of his own during the second Galactic Civil War, or possibly a member of Darth Krayt's One Sith while they were still in hiding.

According to his own holocron, Darth Nikkan devoted much of his life to searching for the holocron of his distant ancestor Lord Kaissen De'eva.  Only a short excerpt from his holocron has come to light during the Post-Legacy era.

Darth Nikkan's holocron

Darth Nikkan: "...and they slew my apprentice in cold blood, those treacherous dogs! They mobbed him to death in the time it took to say his name, and took my only lead from his dead hands.

"

Narrator: " He paces beyond the edge of sight, then returns.

"

Darth Nikkan: "My ancestor's holocron, lost, because of Jedi meddling. Five decades spent hunting... and the Jedi beat me to it. What is it about him that makes him so frightening to them even today? Did they also find that legend from the war with the Eternal Empire? Do they know of the battleship which ambushed him, only to be forced into the heart of a star? Or are they after him because of the Sith alchemist whose life he saved? Or...

"

Narrator: " He pauses in his pacing, staring straight at the viewer.

"

Darth Nikkan: "Did they seek it only to spite me, to keep me from learning how he mastered Mechu-deru?

"

Narrator: " The excerpt ends here. The holodisc which contains this excerpt also includes a warning:

"

unknown Sith scholar: "The holocron of Darth Nikkan is believed to be a fake, as no records of any Sith with such an ability exist anywhere near the time of the Eternal Empire. Additionally, it is difficult to believe that a Sith with such great power should not have been promoted to the rank of Darth.

"

unknown Sith scholar: "While the legend mentioned in the holocron has been verified as being from that general time period, the existence of the man claimed to be Darth Nikkan's ancestor has not been verified. The general consensus among Sith scholars is that someone confused a minor Sith lord with the legendary Outlander, who is known to have destroyed more than a dozen ships in one shot from a super-weapon called the "Gravestone" during their second confrontation with the Eternal Fleet.

"

unknown Sith scholar: "A man known as "the De'evan" is known to have existed some time after Dromund Kaas fell to the Eternal Empire, but he was not Force-sensitive. He was murdered in his sleep by person or persons unknown.
